New Delhi: The BJP today said the Opposition parties will bring a privilege motion against Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh for speaking about policy decisions of the Government outside the Parliament.
The Civil Aviation Minister was speaking on the policy decisions of the Government outside Parliament on issues such as Air India which was a breach of privilege, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussian told reporters outside Parliament.
“The whole Opposition and Gurudas Dasgupta will bring a privilege motion and because it is a case of privilege, Leader of Opposition Sushma Swatraj has also taken it up and said that we will give a notice on this”, Hussian said.
On the Aircel-Maxis issue involving Home Minister P Chidambaram, the BJP spokesperson said Yashwant Sinha has already given a notice in the Lok Sabha.
“We want the Government to issue a notice. Though one statement has already been given, we want the Government to issue a statement on this issue in the House”, Hussain said.
